The IA Warriors basketball program primarily caters to boys and girls ages 8 through 18 with our primary focus being fundamental skill development. IA coaches have years of high-level playing and coaching experience ranging from youth through professional athletics. With youth populations, IA coaches are adept at teaching basic motor skills such as spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination and improved gait patterns as well as basketball-specific movements. By identifying each athletes learning style, motivation source, and general disposition, we are able to teach our athletes how to play the game without the old school ‘one size fits all’ approach.
In this day and age, we realize the distractions youth athletes encounter on an everyday basis. Oftentimes, these distractions deter them from grasping the basics needed to make the greatest contributions on and off the floor. All IA coaches promote a positive environment of respect, accountability and maximum effort in a supportive yet challenging atmosphere where reaching less than your full potential is never tolerated. All we ask of IA athletes is to try their best and trust that our process will lead to their success. At IA, we believe that the life lessons learned through athletics will be applicable in all aspects of our athletes lives through adulthood.
